We have recently purchased a motorhome from UCC ,after selling our smaller van privately. Living in the upper North Island we were initially reluctant to travel to Christchurch having only viewed the motorhome online. Earlier in the year we had visited UCC while on holiday and were impressed with the quality of the second-hand vans. We made contact with Rob, who is answered all our questions honestly and gave us confidence to make flight arrangements. We arrived in Christchurch late in the day so Rob picked us up next morning from our hotel. The motorhome was perfect for us and no surprises regarding the condition. The deal was completed and we made our way slowly home again...
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending UCC to anyone interested in purchasing a motorhome. They are very friendly, honest and helpful.

To Whom It May Concern:
In May 2015 we were the first people to take delivery of a Dethleffs motorhome from UCC in Christchurch. We have dealt with Ross and Rob Floris for over 10 years and have always found them to be very friendly and professional, so we were delighted to find that they have added Dethleffs Motorhomes to their product range. Our main requirements were for an Island bed and a garage to take bike, inflatable boat and mobility scooter. An open weekend at UCC had a Magic Edition White on display and we decided that it fitted all our requirements, and a deposit was paid that weekend. We did not want anyone else to get it and have us wait for another shipment as it suited us that much.
We have found the quality to be first class and the ride exceptional compared with other motorhomes we have owned. Its stability feels as good as or may be even better than our cars. Our first trip away was to the top of the South Island and even with winter temperatures we were comfortable and cosy in our well insulated home. The Truma Combi heating and hot water unit worked perfectly and automatically once set up. The compact “GourmetCenter” kitchen works well for us. We find having the oven below the gas hob works well as we do not have to stretch to use it. There is plenty of storage inside the motorhome as well as in the garage, the floor storage spaces are especially useful.
We can recommend Dethleffs Motorhomes to all who are looking to purchase a high quality, exceptional value motorhome. They will not be disappointed in their purchase.

Bill and I have been the proud owners of our UCC Grassmere Motorhome since April 2014.
It all started early in 2004 as I was reluctantly moving away from a very busy and rewarding career and was wrestling with what could replace the stimulus. I decided on getting out and enjoying my friends up and down the country as well as the many events and photographic opportunities NZ has to offer. It quickly became apparent that a Motorhome was the way to go.
My husband had never camped in his life, so was definitely sceptical about such an investment! That needed sorting, so I hired a Britz 6-berth motorhome and took him on a three week summer holiday in Coromandel. When he dared to suggest we extend the hire period I suggested it might be better to invest the $ in our own!!
So, with my husband’s blessing, I took myself off to the Camper Care NZ Motorhome & Caravan Show in March 2014. I spent two full days chatting with many motorhome owners, adding to the checklist of essentials (started during the Britz experience), and climbing into every motorhome at the show.
As it happened I started at UCC stand... and that is where I stopped at the end of two days. Why? The UCC Grassmere offered everything on my checklist. And Mark Floris (Rob's brother) gave me full and factual responses to my many questions. Then he offered to drop by my husband (in Grassmere) on his way south!
Since then Rob, Ross, Mark and the team at UCC have become my Motorhome mentors. We had so much to learn, not just about the workings of our new home on wheels, but also about managing this gentle giant in all weather and conditions.
Because of her beautiful lines, enhanced by the photo on the sides, people are constantly stopping me and asking to look inside. Of course I welcome that. I think she offers a real ‘home away from home’ – her décor, her facilities, and the thoughtfulness in the way she has been designed.
Everything works so well! The Luton (which some folk seem to want to avoid) provides easily accessible storage for the bed rolls (duvets + puffy underlays), and is a fabulous bed for my two wee grandson’s. There is no change in floor level throughout, the front seats swivel to provide relaxing armchairs after driving, the proportions of bathroom space are appropriate, and there is an easily made king bed for Bill and I. The same space becomes a fabulous dining room for six! The size of the fridge and water tanks are a real bonus for freedom camping. We added an inverter too – I can blow dry my hair in the wilderness! How cool is that?
Bill loves the high quality construction, top line fittings, and well laid out electrical wiring (commented on by an auto electrician as the best he had seen)! He was impressed by how easily an inverter was installed. Being tall Bill finds internal head-height (frequently commented on by our visitors too) is non-claustrophobic.
I tell everyone about Rob and the team at UCC because of the excellent after-sales service we have received! Many motorhome owners join a club in order to gain support or parts for their American or European Motorhome, but we are able to obtain all we need from the UCC team. Questions like: “How do I re-start the fridge after changing the gas cylinder?” or “How are the squabs meant to be for the king single bed?” are promptly answered by a text, email or phone call.
I'm now a true Motorhome addict, and immensely proud of our acquisition, named Tardis by my Grandsons because she is bigger on the inside than the outside!
When you purchase a Motorhome you purchase a whole new life style. Have fun!
